Engineer in Engineering

Mission: Starbase 101
Location: Bridge, USS Tigris
Timeline: Current

David Skii stepped off the turbo lift and onto the bridge. It was different then that he was used to. Bigger, more modern, to someone new it would be intimidating. Especially meeting the Captain for the first time.

Not David, over the years he got used to the drill. From station to station, assignment to assignment he got used to and looked forward to meeting new people. Even if the assignment wasn't necessary one was where he wanted to go. He made the best of what Starfleet needed. However this day was diffrent and he was excited to be here this time. He walked over to the Captains chair where he saw the Captain sitting.

He was working on a padd when David walked up. "Excuse me Captain." David said while holding another padd. " Lieutenant Commander David Skii reporting for duty."

Joe took the padd and looked the young man over. Seemed a little young to be a Lieutenant Commander already. Joe took the padd and looked it over. "Welcome aboard Lieutenant Commander Skii. I see you requested the Tigris?" Joe made it a question.

"Shes a newly refitted ship and only five years old, sir." David explained. "I want to be somewhere diffrent then what I'm usually assigned."

"Any idea why you keep getting those assignments?" Joe asked listening intently.

"Well sir I keep things running." David replied. "I find a way to correct problems and keep the ship running."

Joe nodded and thought the young man was a bit arrogant thinking he could fix everything. He smiled and said. "Welcome aboard Mr. Skii, I look forward to seeing your skills in Engineering. I'm sure your eager to take a look at what your working with."

David smiled back. "Yes sir I am. I've was trying to contain my excitement."

Joe haned the padd back after filling out everything he needed. "I hope everyone else has your enthusiasm." Joe nodded to the turbo lift. "Go get to working on putting your touches on the engines."

David nodded back. "Thank you Captain."

David walked off the bridge and took the turbo lift to Engineering.
